Behind the Lens
Who are you?
My name is Ashe (they / them)! I’m a Philadelphia-based French fry connoisseur and portrait photographer. I also frequently shoot in New Jersey and New York.
.
How long have you been doing this?
I got my first camera at 7 years old—a plastic 35mm film camera shaped like Pikachu—and I was constantly giving my mom handfuls of film to get developed. By age 14 I’d begun apprenticing with two local photographers who taught me everything I know about family portraits, weddings, and event photography.
Rose Glass Photography was officially born in 2015 as the culmination of my love for people, stories, memories, feelings, and photos. I'm thrilled to have turned a lifelong passion for capturing moments and emotions into something I can share with others!
.
Why do you want to take pictures of me?
I love being able to capture what people love about themselves—whether your best feature is your warm smile, your bright eyes, your great hair, or yet to be determined. Every photo, even posed ones, can tell a story, and I'd like to help you create those tales.
.
but photoshoots are expensive, and i’m not photogenic!
I’m a firm believer that you don't need to be a model or pay exorbitant prices for quality photos that you can cherish. In addition to running frequent promotions, I always offer photo packages at flexible, affordable prices, with photo retouching included.
Sex educators, sex workers, and clients facing economic hardship can contact me for sliding scale or alternative payment options.
